Engineers with civil engineering credentials earn more than engineers without them

Engineers with a civil engineering degree earn more money than their non-engineering counterparts, according to a new study.

The report by Accenture and Glassdoor analyzed earnings data from a number of sources, including compensation for those with a bachelor’s degree, professional certification, job-search tips and salary estimates.

The study also found that the most skilled engineers with a high-school degree are in the top 20% of earners in the U.S., according to the report.

“Civil engineers are among the most valued occupations in the economy, with salaries in the highest quintile of the income distribution for engineers and managers, according the study,” Accenture President and CEO Robert DeNiro said in a statement.

“They are a well-educated, well-paid, and highly qualified group of employees.

The average salary for an engineer with a degree is $84,000, and the average salary of a manager with a master’s degree is just over $87,000.”

The average salary by skill set of engineers with at least a bachelor degree is a career-high $91,000 in 2018, while the average salaries of managers with a Master’s degree are $91.5 million, according data from Glassdoor.

That’s $10.6 million more than the average annual income for a white-collar professional with a BA or MS in engineering, according an analysis by Glassdoor that looked at more than 4,000 engineering jobs.

The median salary for a manager in the industry is $93,000 and the median salary of an engineer is $89,000.

The median salary among managers with at-least a bachelor in civil engineering is $88,000 per year, while it is $59,000 for a mechanical engineer, according Glassdoor data.

The study found that engineers are more likely to earn a higher-than-average salary than managers and executives in the field, with those with more years of experience earning a median $85,000 average salary.

But it said the gap is narrowing.

In the next decade, the study found, the median annual salary for engineers is expected to rise to $96,000 from $90,000 by 2021.

In 2019, the average employee in the civil engineering field will earn $99,000 compared to $94,000 now, according Accenture.

The gap will shrink further in 2020, when the average earnings for a civil engineer will hit $95,000 at a time when the typical salary for the typical professional will be $90.50 per year.

The average employee with a BS in civil construction will earn an average of $92,000 over the next ten years, the report said.

The next generation of engineers is also taking a big step forward in terms of the education and training of the workforce.

The report said that the average age of an engineering graduate in 2020 was 26, the same as in 2017, and there are more engineers aged 16 to 34 than there were at the same point in the previous decade.

“This cohort of engineers has seen more innovation, more advances in technology, and a broader range of occupations that are increasingly demanding of highly skilled engineers,” the report noted.

“It is a group that is in an even stronger position to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Glassdoor said the average engineering grad will earn between $94K and $106K annually over the course of their careers.
